General Policies: Our general classes consist of 12-15 participants. Please arrive promptly so that we can set up and start the class on time. The kitchen will be open to guests no earlier than 15 minutes before a scheduled class or event. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes for all cooking classes.
Food Allergies: Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions that you or any individual accompanying you to the class may have at least 7 days before the class and we will endeavor to accommodate you.
Children: The Silverado Cooking School offers classes geared towards adults and teens 16+ with parent consent. Please inform the Silverado Cooking School of the name and age of your child and whether your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions when you sign up for the class.
Attendees under the age of 16 must be approved by management unless attending a class specific to the child’s age group. If approved to attend a general class, the child must be accompanied by a responsible adult also registered for the class.
Cancellations: For Private Event and Team-Building Event deposits are non-refundable 30 days before the day of the event. If a Private Event or Team-Building Event is cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled date, the remaining balance will be due at that time.
All general cooking class sales are final and non-refundable 10 days before the scheduled class for purchases of 4 people or less and 30 days before the day of the class for purchases of 5 or more guests. If you are within the above stated windows of time, reservations cannot be canceled or rescheduled. We recommend travel insurance as we cannot make refunds for cancellations due to medical, family or business emergencies or other unexpected events. You can always transfer your reservation to another person.
Payments for classes cancelled more than 10 days (4 or less people) and 30 days (5 or more people) before the scheduled class may be applied to a future class or may be refunded.
*Gift certificates are non-refundable. All sales are final.
If a particular class does not reach minimum numbers or for some unforeseen reason must be cancelled, you will receive a full refund or you may select a future class to attend.
Private Event Deposit Payment: To secure your reservation of your desire date and time, a deposit of 50% of the total event cost is required. Requested dates are not guaranteed or reserved without a security deposit.
Private Event Balance Payment: Please submit your remaining event balance payment no later than 24 hours before your scheduled event. Beverage charges will be invoiced separate at the conclusion of your event. No shows and last minute cancellations will be billed for the remaining balance.
Private Event Guest Count & Dietary Restriction Notification: Private event groups must submit their final guest count and list of dietary restrictions no later than 7 days before the event. This will be the basis of which the team will be staffed, ingredients ordered and table settings prepared. Unlike a restaurant we cannot accommodate any last minute changes or additions. (Remaining balance will be based no less than this final count, regardless if the actual guest attendance is less.)
Late Arrival Fee for Private Events: Parties arriving more than 20 minutes after their scheduled event time will incur a $75 late fee for every 20 minutes that they are late.
Liability: By participating and/or being a legal guardian of a participant in a class at the Silverado Cooking School you hereby agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Silverado Cooking School, the employees, contractors, and the company from any and all liability of any kind for any damages and/or injuries incurred in connection with attendance of the class. By participating in the class you understand and accept the risks, accidents and injuries that are inherent in participating in a cooking class, including the risks inherent in the preparation, cooking and eating of food, including the dangerous use of knives, kitchen tools, electronic kitchen equipment, and the use of a stove. Knowing the risks, nevertheless, by participating in the class you hereby agree to assume those risks and to release and to hold harmless the Silverado Cooking School, the employees, contractors, and the company who through negligence or carelessness might otherwise be liable to you or a minor participant for damages. It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on your heirs and assigns.
