II. Pruning Techniques: pruning for new growth, pruning for fruit, pruning for height control

III. Pruning Methods: Open Center, Central Leader, Espalier, etc.

*This class will meet at Stone Tree Farm located just a few miles from the cooking school.

Benjamin (“Farmer Ben”) Eichorn, Grow Your Lunch Founder and CEO, is an internationally – renowned expert on the topics of edible gardening and food literacy education. He is the author of “Edible Gardening: Ten Essential Practices for Growing Your Own Food.” He grew up on Country Flat Farm in Big Sur, CA where his family grows certified organic Meyer lemons, diverse fruit and vegetable crops, and keeps honey bees. He taught at the Edible Schoolyard Berkeley for four years before founding Grow Your Lunch in 2010 and is a frequent contributor to the Edible Schoolyard Project blog. He lives in San Francisco with his wife, Anastasia, and pet rabbit, “Domino.”
